Systems Engineering with SysML & Cameo Systems Modeler

IBM_Partner_Plus_platinum_partner_mark_pos_gray80_RGB. IBMChampion2023_100x100

This training provides an overview of the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and its use in system analysis and design. Using a graphical tool—the Cameo Systems Modeler (CATIA Magic)—the concepts of the language that are essential for the daily work of a systems engineer are explored in depth in a hands-on manner.

Besides these training courses from our training portfolio, we also develop training courses tailored to your individual needs.

What to expect

This training course is aimed at individuals who use or intend to use languages and tools for specification in the area of model-driven system development. The training focuses on both the theoretical background of the SysML modeling language and the use of a graphical tool for practical handling of SysML. For us, the simulation of models is an essential part of model validation, which is why simulation is also covered during the training.

The training is composed of sections, each containing a theoretical part and a practical part. During the practical part, participants independently implement the respective modeling aspect covered in the theoretical part on their computers using the graphical tool and an example. This results in a complete model of a small system being created during the training.

Our trainers are experienced system developers who have specified real systems in an industrial environment using model-based and traditional methods, which is why the practical relevance is maintained throughout the training.

The training course is suitable as a basis for the actual introduction of SysML for the specification of systems using a graphical tool, but can also serve as a basis for decision-making on the extent to which model-driven system development with SysML can be profitably used in your own projects.
