What is the difference between Requirements Studio Classic and Requirements Studio Next?

Requirements Studio Classic is built around IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS (DOORS Classic). It includes ReqXChanger for ReqIF-based exchange with UML/SysML modeling tools.

Requirements Studio Next is built around IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next. It includes both ReqXChanger and RM Widgets.

The appropriate edition depends on your current toolchain, licensing status, and whether you are on a DOORS Classic deployment or targeting a DOORS Next environment. SodiusWillert can assess your situation and recommend the right edition during an initial consultation.

We already use IBM DOORS. Can we add SodiusWillert add-ons to our existing deployment?

Yes. ReqXChanger and RM Widgets are sold independently and can be added to existing IBM DOORS Classic or DOORS Next installations without requiring a full Requirements Studio bundle procurement.

If you hold current IBM DOORS or DOORS Next licenses and are evaluating ReqXChanger for model exchange or RM Widgets for DOORS Next workflow automation, SodiusWillert can provide add-on licensing separately and handle integration with your existing deployment.
