IBM ELM integration: connect your engineering lifecycle to every tool your teams use

SodiusWillert connects IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (DOORS Next, ETM, EWM, Rhapsody) to Jira, Confluence, Windchill, Polarion, Cameo and the rest of your toolchain. Live OSLC links, model synchronization or custom adapters: we match the integration pattern to each data flow.

WHAT WE CONNECT

Connect IBM ELM to the tools that run your engineering program

We connect ELM to the tools where requirements get implemented, parts get designed, models get built and evidence gets reviewed. Where one of our OSLC connectors covers the flow, we deploy it. Where it doesn't, we design the integration your process needs. The goal never changes: every engineer sees the right, current artifact in the tool they already use.

Agile & software development

Link Jira work to ELM requirements, tests and change

Create live, bidirectional links between Jira issues and DOORS Next requirements, ETM test cases and EWM work items. Create ELM artifacts from Jira, use Jira as a native change management provider, and report on Jira data in IBM Report Builder.

PLM

Connect software and hardware lifecycles

Trace ELM requirements, test plans and test cases to Windchill change artifacts and parts, directly inside the Windchill UI. Manage configurations across repositories with IBM Global Configurations.

Documentation & collaboration

Bring live IBM ELM data into Confluence

Embed and preview DOORS Next requirements, ETM tests and Rhapsody models in Confluence pages. Specifications and design docs stay current without copy-paste.

Reviews, reporting & documents

Review and document across the whole toolchain

Aggregate ELM data with the rest of your toolchain for formal, multi-tool reviews and compliance reporting. Generate controlled documents from ELM content.

Why SodiusWillert

The ELM integrator that builds its own connectors

Most integrators configure someone else's connectors. We build ours, and we deploy them as an IBM ELM Platinum Partner. That means one team answers for the ELM architecture, the connector and the process it serves, from design through every upgrade.

IBM ELM integration: frequently asked questions

Which tools can you connect to IBM ELM?

We connect ELM to Jira (Cloud and Data Center), Confluence, PTC Windchill, and Cameo/MagicDraw.

For tools without a connector, please contact us.

What is OSLC, and why does it matter for ELM integration?
OSLC (Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration) is an open standard initiated by IBM and maintained by OASIS. ELM supports it natively. OSLC lets tools link artifacts in place instead of copying them, so ELM treats Jira issues or Windchill parts as first-class linked artifacts.
What's the difference between linking and synchronizing data?

Synchronization copies artifacts between tools and must reconcile every change. OSLC linking keeps each artifact in its source tool and resolves links in real time. Linking eliminates duplicates and stale data.
