UPDM (Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF)

UPDM (or Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF) is a visual modeling standard providing a common model for DoDAF and MODAF. It enables interoperability of architectures across transnational program boundaries. UPDM is the product of an Object Management Group (OMG) initiative to develop a modeling standard that supports both the US Department of Defense (DoDAF) and UK Ministry of Defense (MODAF) architecture frameworks.

 

UPDM specifies a common terminology for the main concepts of both architectural frameworks and a standard for the interchange of machine-readable models between tools from different vendors.
