One thing is very clear: if you weren't there, you missed out! And if you were there, you know what we mean. It was great to experience the intensive and open exchange and to listen to the top-class speakers. Not to mention the spectacular view of the sunrise on day 2, seen from the 21st floor of the IBM Watson Center in Munich!
In terms of content, the focus was on software-defined vehicles (SDV) and the resulting challenges for OEMs and suppliers. Dealing with the emerging data lake and the consequences for end-to-end systems engineering concepts were key topics on the agenda.
After the extremely successful premiere in 2022 and a successful Automotive Day 2023, the bar was naturally set particularly high this year. And thanks to the cooperation and support of all speakers, participants, and everyone involved, it was another great event - THANK YOU!
A small selection of this year's highlights
- Jochen Epple, Mercedes-Benz, and Anuschka Grummel, BHC, shared specific examples of the potential that Smart Data Lake concepts can unfold for the development of more efficient and intelligent vehicles.
- Jan Richter, Siemens, and Andreas Willert, SodiusWillert, spoke about the wide range of data generated in the development, production, and operation of vehicles and how this raw material “data” can be used productively.
- Using the “Digital Twin” concept for the implementation and verification of regulatory requirements was the subject of a project report by Sascha Ackva, Continental, and Bogdan Beretzky, Certivity.
Topics such as SysML V2, continuous end-to-end development, MBSE methodology, and the exchange of engineering data across company boundaries were presented, scrutinized, and explored in talks, interactive sessions, practical demos, and, of course, in countless discussions during the breaks.
🥇 Special guest Fritz Fischer, 1992 Olympic biathlon champion shared insights and parallels from the world of sports!
