(AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture), better known by its acronym, AUTOSAR, is a worldwide partnership created in 2003 by leading automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and other organizations from the electronics and software industries. The objective behind AUTOSAR was to develop an open, standardized framework architecture for automotive ECUs.
Today, this joint effort has resulted in the development of a common language, enabling certain aspects of the development process, such as reusability and transferability.
