Our summer release of OSLC Connect for Jira is now available!

Continuing to build on the promise of Connecting the Enterprise, this release introduces some great features along as experience enhancements. Keep on reading to learn more about the newest highlights that you can now experience in the OSLC Connect for Jira 2.4.0 release.

Adding support for Siemens Polarion ALM

Siemens has been adopting the Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) standard. The power of linked data is real, and the value of quickly integrating other solutions is realized.

OSLC Connect for Jira’s support for integration with Siemens Polarion delivers the features engineers demand:

  • Rich Linked-Data OSLC Experience from Polarion and Jira.
  • Rich access to Jira artifacts from Polarion.
  • Rich access to Polarion artifacts from Jira.
  • Drag and Drop linking in Jira.
  • Reporting on links in Polarion.

Now your Siemens Polarion and Jira integration can be linked and enable live data (no more copies or data synchronization).

Approvals with DOORS Next Generation and Jira

In the 2.2.0 release, we introduced support for changesets with IBM DOORS Next Generation. With this, the teams could ensure that each changeset in DOORS Next had a linked Jira Issue to manage and track the effort. We knew this was just the first step.

In this 2.4.0 release, you can now manage your change process, including approvals, within Jira. With this feature, IBM DOORS Next Generation will enforce that a Jira issue has been approved prior to delivering changesets to your stream.

  • Define your Approval in Jira:
    • Done states and resolutions.
    • Fully customizable JQL statement.
  • Test and validation your Approval flow while configuring.
  • Navigate from your Jira Requirements Changes to the Changes in DNG to be Reviewed.

This is a valuable feature that strengthens process adoption, simply.

Embedded Help

We’ve listened to our users about accessibility for help. In this release, we have embedded the product help within the Jira plugin. This allows direct access to the help where you need it in our configuration menus with a simple click of the . Now your help is always at your fingertips.

Reporting and Tracked Resource Set support

For enterprise customers, we know the importance of reporting data.

With the 2.4.0 release, we are introducing enhancements to the TRS feeds. We identified that it was complex to visualize the number of projects and artifacts included in your TRS feed. Now we provide access to identify the projects being made available from the administration functions.

In addition, when you make changes, we offer the ability to reset and recalculate your feeds in case your team needs to change or reset the contents of your feeds. Users will benefit from the consistency of reports and administrators will appreciate the ease of managing operations.

For our existing customers, we are excited to be delivering these enhancements. For our future customers, please reach out to us today to find out how you can evaluate this solution to unify your enterprise with Jira.
